AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-59, AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCES NO. 87-73 AND N0. 87-81 RELATING
TO THE FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 BUDGET; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, on March 1, 1988 the City Council authorized the
City Manager to purchase property at 405 Church Street; and
�
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to reappropriate available
fund balance to provide funding for the purchase of said
property; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $76 , 500. 00 in
additional funds to provide for the payment of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety herein. _
Section 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 87-59 as amended
by Ordinances No. 87-73 and No. 87-81 is hereby amended to read
as follows :
"Section l. That the appropriation amounts for the
� FY88 budget for different funds of the City of
Grapevine are hereby fixed as follows:

Utility (Water &
Wastewater) Fund $ 5, 699, 003
Debt Service Fund $ 3, 226, 765
Golf Course Fund $ 886, 896
CVB Fund $ 1, 653, 839
Insurance Fund $ 674, 769
Firemen' s Relief &
Retirement Fund $ 4, 000
Capital Projects
Construction Fund $ 9, 318, 371
Water & Wastewater Capital
Recovery Fees $ 428,507"
Section 3. That the City Manager ' be and is hereby
authorized to make the appropriate change to the budget- to
reflect the change noted above.
SeCtion 4. A true copy of this ordinance amending the
Fiscal Year 1987-88 budget shall be filed with the City Secretary
"�� and attached to the budget originally adopted and the City
Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be filed a true
copy of the amendments in the office of the County Clerks of
'�" Tarrant, Dallas and Denton counties.
Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to _
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general
welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that
this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its
passage, and it is accordinqly so ordained.
