AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND VACATING
A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT IN THE
GRAPEVINE INDUSTRIAL PARK, CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DE-
SCRIBED; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
[aHEREAS , the owner of Lots 1 & 2 , Grapevine Industrial
Park, in the City of Grapevine, Texas , has requested that a
portion of a utility easement, as hereinafter described, be
abandoned and vacated; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the utility easement, as herein-
after described , is not now need�d for public use and will
not be ne�ded in the future for public use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating a portion of the
utility easement will relieve the City of Grapevine, Texas
from the cost and expense of maintaining said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the utility easement described in
Exhibits "A" & "B" , attached hereto and made a part hereof,
is hereby abandoned and vacated for public use and the same
is hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all public right,
title, and interest in and to said described utility ease-
ment is concerned.
Section 2 . That the terms and provisions of this ordi-
nance shall be deemed to be severable and that if the valid-
ity of any section, subsection, word, sentence, or phrase
shall be held to be invalid, it shall not affect the remain-
ing part of this ordinance.
Section 3. The fact that a portion of said utility
easement is no longer needed by the public for public usage
and would cr�ate a hardship or burden upon the City of Grape-
vine to keep open and maintain such utility easement creates
an urgency and an emergency for the immediate preservation
of the public health, safety, and general welfare , which
requires that this ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage , and it is accordingly so ordained.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of March, 1983 . �.

EXHIBIT "A" to ORDINANCE N0. 83-(
EXHIBIT 1
BEING a tract of land located within the Grapevine Industrial Park, City of
Grapevine, Texas, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described
as follows:
C COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of Lot 2 of the Grapevine Industrial Park
as shown by plat recorded in Volume 38II-140, Page 84;

TNENCE, N 0°11 'W, a distance of 21 feet along the south line of said lot to
the true point of beginning of the herein described tract;
THENCE, N89°46'E, a distance of 628.14 feet to a point in the west right-of-
way line of State Highway 114, said point bears 80°11 'E, a distance of 21 feet
from the west line of said Grapevine Industrial Park;
THENCE, N33°15'W, along said State Highway 114, a distance of 4.77 feet, to
a point, said point bears 80°11 'E a distance of 25 feet from the west line of
said Grapevine Industrial Park;
THENCE S.£�°46'W, a distance of 625.33 feet to a point in the south line of
said lot 2;
TNENCE S 0°11 'E, along the south line of said Lot 2, a distance of 4.0 feet,
to the true point of beginning, and containing 2507 square fee� more or less.
