AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, SECTION 30 , OF THE CITY CODE OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , BY ADD- ING STOP SIGNS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS DESGRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING THE ERECTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDI- NANCES; PROV3DING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PRO- VIDING A PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN ENiERGENCY NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CSTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: � Section l . The City Code of the City oi Grapevine, Texas, Chapter 23, Section 30 , is hereby amended by adding stop signs at the following described locations : A. On Northbound Redbird Lane at Peninsula Drive. B. On Southbound Redbird Lane at Peninsula Drive. C. On Eastbound Hampton Road at Dove Road. D. On Westbound Harber Avenue at Overlook Drive. E. On Northbound Overlook Drive at Harber Avenue. F. On Eastbound Harber Avenue at Overlook Drive. Section 2 . That the City Manager, or his agent, is hereby authorized to have stop signs erected, constructed, and placed at such points along said streets. Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof in con- flict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and hereby are deemed repealed and of no force or effect provided, however , that the ordinance or ordinances under which the cases currently filed and pending under such ordinance or ordinances have been disposed of by a final conviction or a finding not guilty of nolo contendere , or dismissal. Section 4. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause , phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be judged invalid or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any portion thereof other than that por- tion so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional. Section 5 . Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis- demeanor and, upon conviction in the ��unicipal Court, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200 .00 ) for each offense. Section 6 . The fact that the traffic regulations of the City o� Crapevine do not adequately regul�te the traffic within the City creates an urgency and an emergency and the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare requires that this ordinance shall take efiect immediately �rom and after its passage and the publication of the caption of said ordinance as the law and the City Charter in such cases provides.
