AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE GRAPEVINE
CITY CODE, CHAPTER 16 , SECTION 32
(A-3) RELATIVE TO GRAPEVINE MUNICI-
PAL GOLF COURSE FEES; PROVIDING A
SEVEFtABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS :
Section l. That the Grapevine City Code, Chapter 16 ,
Section 32 (A-3) is hereby amended as follows :
(3) Cart, Lessons, and Range Ball Fee :
(a) Electric Golf Carts:
1. 18 holes $10. 00 plus tax
2. 9 holes $ 5. 50 plus tax
(b) Private Motorized Golf Carts :
1. 18 holes $3. 00 plus tax
2. 9 holes $2. 00 plus tax
(c) Pull Carts: $1. 00 plus tax
(d) Range Balls :
25-30 balls $1. 00
(e) Golf Lessons :
1. Head Professional $15. 00
2. Assistant Professional $10. 00
Section 2. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereto
to any person or circumstances is held invalid or unconstitu-
tional by a Court of competent jurisdiction such holding shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the ordi-
nance, and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed
such remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity,
which remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined in a sum not to exceed two
hundred dollars ($200. 00) , and a separate offense shall be
deemed committed upon each day during or on which a violation
occurs or continues after the notice period provided herein
has expired. The Court shall order removal and abatement of
the nuisance.
Section 4 . The fact that the present fees at the Grapevine
Municipal Golf Course are inadequate creates an urgency and an
emergency and in the preservation of the public health, safety
and welfare requires that this ordinance shall take effect
immediately from and after its passage and the publication of
the caption as the law and charter in such cases provides.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of February, 1982 .
