ORDINANCE NO. 81-7
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 ,
SECTION 30 OF THE CITY CODE OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , BY ADDING STOP
SIGNS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS DES-
CRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING THE
ERECTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION
SIGNS; REPEALING CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES ; PROVIDING A SEVER-
ABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l. The City Code of the City of Grapevine,
Texas , Chapter 23 , Section 30 , is hereby amended by adding
stop signs at the following described locations :
1. a. Southbound Grapevine-Euless Road @
Glade Road
b. Westbound Glade Road @ Grapevine-
Euless Road
2. a. On the southbound side of an unnamed
street @ Bushong Road; said inter-
section located North 89° 51 ' 30"
East 430 feet from the intersection
of Bushong Road and Silverside Drive
b. On the northbound side of an unnamed
street at Ruth Wallb said intersec-
tion being North 89 51 ' 30" East,
a distance of 610 feet and North
0° 8 ' 30" West, a distance of
510 feet from the intersection of
Bushong Road and Silverside Drive
Section 2 . That the City Manager or his agent, is
hereby authorized to have stop signs erected, constructed
and placed at such points along said streets.
Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof in
conflict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and
hereby are deemed repealed and of no force or effect provided,
however, that the ordinance or ordinances under which the
cases currently filed and pending in the Municipal Court of
the City of Grapevine, Texas, shall be deemed repealed only
when all such cases filed and pending under such ordinance
or ordinances have been disposed of by a final conviction or
a finding not guilty of nolo contendere, or dismissal.
Section 4 . If any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase or provisions of this ordinance shall be
judged invalid or unconstitutional the same shall not affect
the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any portion
thereof other than that portion so decided to be invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the Municipal
Court, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of
Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00) for each offense.

Section 6. The fact that the traffic regulations of the
City of Grapevine do not adequately regulate the traffic
within the City creates an urgency and an emergency and the
preservation of the public health, safety and welfare requires
that this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and
after its passage and the publication of the caption of said
ordinance as the law and the City Charter in such cases
- provides.
