AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
. AMENDING CHAPTER 7 , SUBSECTION 2 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO INTERPRETATION OF
THE BUILDING CODE AND CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
w�,.�. SECTION 1. That Chapter 7 , Section 2 of the City Code of the
City of Grapevine is hereby amended to read as
follows :
Whenever there exists a conflict in the language
or interpretation of the Building Code and any
other related Ordinance, then in such event , the
more restrictive code shall take precedence
SECTION 2. Provisions of this Ordinance shall be, and they are
hereby, declared to be severable; and should any
portion of it be declared to be invalid for any
reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
holding shall not affect the remaining portions
thereof.
SECTION 3 . A person, firm or corporation violating the terms
and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor , and shall be fined not
less than One Dollar ($1. 00) nor more than Two
Hundred ($200) ; and each day each violation shall
�„�,, . continue shall be a separate offense.
SECTION 4. The fact that the enactment of this Ordinance is
�;,� necessary to preserve the public business , peace,
health, safety and general welfare, creates an
urgency and emergency in the immediate preserva-
tion of the same, and requires that this Ordinance
shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage; and it is accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, this the 18th day of March, 1980.
