COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. ��-/I
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Tex�s,
in the exercise of the discretionary powers vested by law in said
City Council has determined that the public welfare, health, safety
and convenience will be served by developing, operaFing and maintaining
•� a park and public recreation area located without the limits of said City
on approximately 620 acres of land below the dam at the Grapevine
Reservoir Project; and,
WH ER EA S, such pa rk a nd recreationa 1 a rea ca n be developed,
' operated and maintained on said land only if the City secures a
lease for such purpose from the U. S. Corps of Engineers, Department
�' of the Army; and
WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers has requested the City of
Grapevine officials to certify the praper legal authority is available
for the City Secretary to apply.for and enter into and execute
� the agreements above contemplated; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE TT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
� SECTION 1. That Kenneth R. Pritt, City Secretary, and John F.
Boyle, Jr. , City Attorney, are hereby authorized to certify that the City of
� ` G rapevine does have legsl authority and ability to apply for all of the agreemenr.s
' ' and to execute a lease agreement with the United States Corps of Engineers for
' Grapevine Park.
