HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1975-026 RESOLUTION � 75-26 WHEREAS, the Mayor, City Council and City Manager on occasion receive complaints and inquiries from citizens relating to the operation of the various city departments and the personnel of said departments; and ' WHEREAS, the City Council believes it would be in the best interest of the City, and the city employees to create and establish a Public Relations Committee that could be utilized to investigate said complaints and inquiries and report the findings to the City Council . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIN COUNCIL FOR THE CIN OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, as follows: Section 1 . There is hereby established a Public Relations Committee that will function upon specific requests made by the City Council in the following manner: A. Investigate complaints registered relative to city departments, personnel and pol icies. B. The investigation may be conducted through the use of subcommittees appointed by the chairman and - through the utilization of any and all departments of the City. C. To submit the findings of the committee to the City Council in the manner and in direct response to the � Council's requests. � , � Section 2. The makeup of the committee shall be as follows: �.� A, One (1) member from the City Council to be appointed by the Mayor to be the chairman of the committee. B. Four (4)members who are citizens of the City of � Grapevine, said members to be appointed by the City Council of the City of Grapevine. C. All members shall serve a term of one (1) year from appointment. However, the Mayor and Council may revoke said appointments and appoint successors on the committee at any time.
