WHEREAS, it was voted at the special meeting of the
City Council on September 23, 1975 that the City Secretary
be authorized and instructed to prepare a suitable resolu-
� tion expressing commendation and appreciation for the valu-
' able service rendered to the City of Grapevine, Texas by

Chisai Childs Anderson
Andy Anderson
AS PROMOTERS AND OWNERS OF THE GRAPEVINE OPRY and
that the City Secretary be further authorized and in-
structed to spread a copy of such resolution upon the
City Records and to transmit a copy thereof to same.
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has received much
publicity as a direct result of the Grand Opening of
the Grapevine Opry, and
WHEREAS, the appearance of Main Street and downtown
Grapevine has been improved upon and beautified as a
direct result of the Grapevine Opry locating on Main
Street.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of

Grapevine, Texas extend to "Aunt Susie" Slaughter,
Chisai Childs Anderson, and Andy Anderson its humble
expression of esteem for the valuable service they have
rendered in serving the City by improving the general
appearance of downtown Grapevine and also for the pub-
licity that the City has received in their behalf.
SIGNED AND SEALED on behalf of the City Council of the
City of Grapevine, Texas, this the 23rd day of September,
1975.
