AN ORDINANCE RIXING THE COMPENSATION TO
BE RECEIVED BY THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF
THE CITY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO SECTION 3.04,
ARTICLE 3 OF THE CITY CHARTER, AND DECLAR-
ING AN EMERGENCY.

,�,, NOW, THERERORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 3.04, Article 3 of the
City Charter, the compensation to be received by the Mayor
and Members of the City Council shall be $200.00 per month
for the Mayor and $100.00 per month for the Members of the
City Council beginning on the lst day of March, 1978.
Section 2. The fact that no present ordinances of the
City of Grapevine regulating to increase the salaries of the
Mayor and Councilmen exist, creates an emergency and in the
preservation of the public health, safety and welfare re-
quires that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage and the publication of the
caption as the law and charter in such cases provides .
