AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 2,
SECTION 2 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF
� GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, BY ADDING STOP SIGNS AT
CERTAIN LOCATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN; PRO-
VIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GR.APEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION l. The City Code of Grapevine, Texas,
Title 9, Chapter 2, Section 2, is hereby amended by add-
ing Stop signs at certain locations described herein:
ON KIMBALL AT DOVE ROAD
SECTION 2 . If any section, sentence, phrase,
word, paragraph or provisions of this ordinance or the
application of that section, sentence, phrase, word,
paragraph, or provision to any person, situation or
circumstances is for any reason adjudged invalid, the
adjudication shall not affect any other section,
sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or provision of
this ordinance or the application of any other section,
sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or provision ta any
other person, situation or circumstances, nor shall
� such adjudication affect any other section, sentence,
phrase, word, paragraph or provision of the Grapevine
City Code. The City Council declares that it would have
adopted the valid portions and applications of this
ordinance without the invalid part, and to this end
the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 3. A person, firm or corporation vio-
lating the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not
less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than Two Hundred
Dollars ($200) .
SECTION 4. The fact that the present ordinance
and regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are in-
adequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals,
peace, and general welfare of the inhab itants of the City
of Grapevine, Texas, creates an emergency for the immediate
preservation of public business, property, health,
safety and general welfare of the public which requires
that this ordinance shall be come effective from and
i�, after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so
ordained.
