SECTION 1. That Title 7, Chapter 2 of the City Coc�e, subsection 7-2-5 is hereby amended as follows : 7-2-5 Minimum Charges (Meter Sizes) In any case the following monthly minimum charges shall be made upon customers of the water system excluding ser- vices through one meter supplying water for three (3) or more apartments or trailer park units: (For meter charge per unit refer to Title 7, Chapter 2, Subsection 7-28-8(C) . That subsection 7-2-8;C) is hereby amended to read as follows: 7-2-8(C) Meter Charge Per Unit In all cases when three (3) or more apartments or trailer park units are serviced through one meter, the minimum per unit shall be four-fifths (4�5) of the regular three-fourths (3�4) inch water meter minimum prescribed for a single water and�or waste water service. SECTION 3. Severability Clause. If any section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph, or provisions of this ordinance or the application of that section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph, or provision to any person, situa- tion or circumstances is for any reason adjudged invalid, the adjudication shall not affect any other section, sentence, � phrase, word, paragraph or provision of the Grapevine City Code. The City Council declares that it would have adopted the valid portions and applications of this ordinance with- out the invalid part, and to this end the provisions of this '�' ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 4. Penalties. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a ' misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined $1.00 to $200.00. SECTION 5: Emergency Clause. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general welfare of the inhabi- tants of the City of Grapevine, Texas creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of public business property health, safety, and general welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective from �� and after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so obtained.
