XIX, R.C.S. 6701d, UNIFORM ACT FZEGULATING
TRAFFIC ON HIGHL�IEIYS, UPON THE BASIS OF AN
ENGINEERING l�ND TRArFIC INVESTIGATION UPON
CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGtII�JAYS, OR PEIRTS THERE-

OF GRAPEVINE AS SET OUT IN THE GRDINANCE: IaNll
PROVIDING A PEN_AI.TY OF' A FINE NOT TO EXCHED
�_ $200.00 FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Wi-IEREAS, Section 167 and 169 0£ Article XIX, R.C.S.
,�� 5701d, Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways , provides
that whenever the governing body of the City shall determine
upon the basis of an engineering ancl traftic investigation
that any prima facie speed therein set forth is greater or
less than is reasonable or safe under the conditions foLznd
to exist at any intersection or other place or izpon any
part of a street or highway, with the City taking into
consideration the width and condition of the pavement and
other circumstances on such portion of saic� street or highway,
as well as the t�sual traf£ic thereon, said govern body may
determine and declare a reasonable and safe prima facie speed
limit thereat or thereon by the passage of an ordinance,
which shall he effective �vhen appropriate signs giving notice
thereof are erected at such intersection or other place or
part of the street or highway, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. Upon the basis of an engineering and traffic
�"''� investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions
of Section 167 and 169 of Ar.ticle XIX, R.C.S . 6701d, Uniform
� Act iz.egulatinc� Tr_affic on Highu.Tays , the following prima facie
speed limits hereafter indicated for vehicles are hereby cie-
termined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and such
speed limits are her_eby fixed at the rate of speed indicated
for vehicles traveling upon the named streets and highways ,
or parts thereof, described as follotivs :

SH 121 (Susiness)
Tarrant County
A. From Station 286+50.6 (Southwest City Limits of Grapevine)
northeasterly 2. 149 miles to Station 400+00 (approximately
1 ,100 ' south�vest of SH 114) at 55 miles �er hour.
l. School Zone - From Station 317+00 (approximately 630 '
southwest of Mustang Drive) northeasterly 0.2J4 mile
to Station 327+75 (approximately 445� northeast of
Mustanc� Drive) at 35 miles per hour on school days
Srom 7:00 to 9:00 A.M. and from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. ;
55 miles per hour all other times.
' B. From Station 400+00 northeasterly 0.682 mile to Station
436+00 (approximately 720' southwest of FM 157) at 45
miles per hour.

C. From Station 436+00 northeasterly 0.540 mile to Station
464+50 (intersection with Spur 103 and Main Street) at
30 miaes per hour.
D. From Station 464+50 northerly 0.472 mile to Station
1068+50 (intersection cvith Loop 382) at 30 miles per
hour.
E. From Station 1097+87 (intersection with Loop 382)
northeasterly 0.324 mile to Station 1115+00 at 35
�„ miles per hour.
F. From Station 1115+00 northeasterly 0.379 mile to Station
1135+00 (approximately 1,315' southwest of Grapevine Lake
�""�"` Road) at 45 miles per hour.
G. From Station 1135+00 northeasterly 2.269 miles to Station
1254+80 (Northeast City Limits of Grapevine - also Tarrant-
Dallas County Line) at 55 miles per hour.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upora conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not more
than two hundred ($200) dollars . -
