WHEREAS, the comprehensive development of the Trinity River
will produce for our area substantial economic growth, job
*pportunities, flood control, fresh water supply, recreation,
pollution control, soil conservation and land use management; and

River will produce to the people of our area economic benefits
'1.00 invested; and
WHEREAS, local funds, to be obtained from the sale of aN
valorem tax revenue bonds, are necessary to provide approximately
one-sixth (1/6) of the estimated $1 ®2 billion cost of the total
• � 6, every consideration has been and should continue
to be taken in the design and construction
• the project to
insure the highest environmental standards,
1. heartily supports and endorses the comprehensive develop-
ment
• the Trinity River, upon the conviction that such will be
in the best interest of the people in the Trinity River Basin,
both environmentally and economically, ani
2. urges our local citizenry and those throughout the Trinity
River Basin to overwhelmingly approve the approximately $150
million bond proposal and the tax levy authorization at the March
day of FebEj�., 1973.
