held on the 4th day April, 1972 for the purpose of electing the
hereinafter named officials, and it appearing from said returns,
duly and legally made that there were cast at said election 768
valid and legal votes; that each of the candidates in said
election received the following votes:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
That, said election was duly called; that notice of said election
was given in accordance with law, and that said election was held
in accordance with law, and that the following named persons were
duly elected to the offices indicated:
Carlton D. Pittard Councilman Place 3
Phil Parker Councilman Place 4
That the said above parties in Place 3 and Place 4 are hereby
declared duly elected to said respective officies, subject to
the taking of their oaths and filing bond as provided by the
laws of this State and the ordinances of this City, and that a
tie was declared in Councilman Place 5 each of the candidates
having received the same number of votes.
