RUN-OFF ELECTION AT WHICH VOTERS

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS®

THAT a run-off election shall be held on Saturday, May 13, 1972,
to fill the position of Councilman, Place 5, simultaneous with
a Special Election for amendments to the City Charter.
SECTION II.
THAT the City Secretary shall in accordance with the term and
provision of the Election Code, post in his office the names of
Thelma Conine and Guy S. Benedict for Councilman Place 5, the '
candidates receiving the highest but an even number of votes in
said general election and cause their names to be placed upon
the ballot.
SECTION III.
This City, having one election precinct, said election shall be
held at the City's Fire Station at the Corner of Main and Texas
Street, Grapevine, Texas
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and instructed to provide
and furnish all necessary supplies and personnel to conduct said
election. Said supplies and personnel shall be furnished at the
expense of the General Fund of the City of Grapevine, Texas.
This resolution shall repeal every prior resolution in conflict
herewith, but only insofar as the portion of such resolution shall
be in conflict and as to all other sections of resolutions not in
direct conflict herewith, this resolution shall be and is hereby
made cumulative.
