RESOLUTION WHEREIN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, RECOGNIZES AND ACCEPTS THE PROPOSED
LOCATION OF STATE HIGHWAY 360 AND REQUESTING
THE METROPOLITAN HIGHWAY COMMITTEE TO ASSIST
IN OBTAINING IMMEDIATE APPROVAL AND CONSTRUCTION
OF SUCH HIGHWAY FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, recognizes the necessity for a well developed highway and
thoroughfare system within the city limits of Grapevine, Texas,
to carry the additional traffic created by the development and
construction of the Dallas -Fort Worth Regional Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Engineers for the City of Grapevine have
made their recommendations to the City Council for the location
of proposed State Highway 360, with connecting links between
the cities of Grapevine and Euless, Texas; which recommendations
are acceptable to the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Highway Committee was
established to assist cities in this area and to work with the
Texas Highway Department in facilitating highway construction
for the area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Grapevine, Texas at a regular meeting that the City
of Grapevine, Texas accept the recommended location of proposed
State Highway 360, as shown by maps on file with the City Secretary
of the City of Grapevine, and to request the Metropolitan Highway
Committee to provide its full assistance in pursuing the construction
of State Highway 360 as soon as possible.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas this 2nd day of Februnr A. D. 1971.
