A RESOLUTION APPROVING CITY OF GRAPEVINE
PARTICIPATION IN THE EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT
ACT OF 1971.
WHEREAS, The Emergency Act of 1971 provides funds for public
agencies to hire the unemployed and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Government will fund 90,7, of the program
while the public agency will fund the other 107o and,
WHEREAS, the object of the program is to make jobs for the
unemployed, with a goal of 50% of the jobs eventually becoming
permanent and,
WHEREAS, The United States Department of Labor has selected
Tarrant County as program agent, through which the City of
Grapevine will receive $9,592.00, its participating share
of the County allocation and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the official governing body of
the City of Grapevine approve participation of said program;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED;

THAT approval is hereby given that the City of Grapevine
participate in The Emergency Employment Act of 1971 through
Tarrant County;
Ii.
THAT the City Manager of the City of Grapevine is hereby
designated as the official liaison officer in the implementa-
tion of the program.
PASSED by unanimous vote of all members present, none being
absent, on this 20th day of September, 1971.
