COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. R 70-2
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Grapevine does desire to institute
annexation proceedings across an area of land that is adjacent and
contiguous to its presently existing City Limits , is not within
the City Limits of any other city and that lies solely within its
extra territorial jurisdiction, said tract being fully described
� by metes and bounds in Section 2 of this resolution.
�`�` SECTION 2. That the City Secretary is hereby directed to publish
the following notice in the Grapevine Sun, a newspaper having
general circulation in the City of Grapevine and in the territory
proposed to be annexed. Said notice to be given is as follows :
NOTICE OF HEARING ON INTENTION TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY
, Notice is hereby given that the City of Grapevine, Texas,
intends to annex the following described property, said
tract of land being described by metes and bounds as
follows ;
Beginning at the intersection of the East ROW line of County
Road 3038 sometimes called Pool Road and a line 50 feet
south and parallel to Bear Creek, said point of intersecion
being a point along the Grapevine existing City limits ;
Thence, Southerly along the East ROW line of said County
Road 3038 to its intersection with the north ROW line of
,,,�:.�� County Road 3120, sometimes called Hall Johnson Road;
�,, Thence, Easterly along the north ROW line of said County
Road 3120 to its intersection with the West ROW line of
State Farm to Market Road 157;
Thence, Northerly along the West ROW line of State Farm to
Market Road 157 to its intersection with a line 50 feet
south and parallel to Bear Creek; said point of intersection
being as the South line of the existing City limits ;
Thence, Northwesterly along said line 50 feet south and
parallel to the meanderings of Bear Creek to the place of
beginning, containing 1�520 acres more or less.

A public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall in the City of Grapevine at 413 S. Main Street ,
Grapevine, Texas at 7:30 P.M. on the 20th day of Januarv
a.d. 19 70 , at which time opportunity will be
provided for all interested persons to be heard concerning
the proposed annexation.

� ance with the directions of the Grapevine City Council.

SECTION 3. That the City Secretary shall publish said notice at
least once in said newspaper not more than twenty (20) days nor
less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing as set out in said
notice. In addition to the published notice, the City Secretary
shall give notice by Certified Mail to any railroad company or.
companies serving the City and on the City's Tax Roll when their
right of way is included in the territory to b e annexed.
SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after
its date of passage.
