RESOLUTION REQUESTING TEXAS POVJER & LIGHT
COMPANY TO COMMENCE SERVICE TO CERTAIN
CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS PRESENTLY SERVED BY TRI-COUNTY
ELECTRIC CO-OP.

-. WHEREAS, there are several land owners, taxpayers , and

citizens of the City of Grapevine , Texas, who are currently
being serviced with electric power by Tri-County Electric Co-
op; an d
WHEREAS, Tri-County Electric Co-op does not hold a
franchise to operate within the City of Grapevine, Texas , and
WHEREAS, Tri-County Electric Co-op has set meters within
various parts of the City of Grapevine, Texas after said property
had been duly annexed to the City of Grapevine, Texas , and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Grapevine, Texas , that the best interests of the City would be
- � for the City to be serviced by a duly franchised utility company,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, at a regular meeting, that Texas
Power & Light Company be asked to begin service to those custo-
mers within the City, presently serviced by Tri-County Electric
Co-op, but who were not serviced by Tri-County Electric Co-op
on the date said property became a part of the City of
Grapevine, Texas .
PASSED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE OF ALL NIEMBERS PRESENT, none
being absent, on this 21st day of July, 1970.
