WHEREAS, it was voted at a special emergency meeting of
the City Council on June 14, 1969 that the City Secretary
be authorized and instructed to prepare a suitable
z resolution expressing commendation and appreciation for

the untiring and valuable service rendered to the City
of Grapevine , Texas by
DR. IRA E. WOODS
AS COUNCILMAN AND MAYOR and that the City S ecretary be
further authorized an d instructed to spread a copy of
such resolution upon the City Records and to transmit a
copy thereof to his family, and
WHEREAS, Dr . Woods served for one year as Councilman and
six years as Mayor, in a dignified, faithful , impartial ,
and business like manner, giving generously of his time
�a_ . and efforts, unselfishly in all deliberation, now,
THEREFORE, Be It Resolved, that the City of Grapevine ex-
tend its humble expression of esteem for Dr. Ira Woods
in serving the City of Grapevine faithfully and well.

Grapevine, this 14th day of June, 1969.
