RESOLUTION ASKING THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH REGIONAL
AIRPORT BOARD NOT TO TAKE FEE TITLE TO LAND
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF GRAPEVINE fiEXAS
LOCATED WEST OF FARM ROAD

WHEREAS, a large number of land owners and taxpayers
of the City of Grapevine, Texas whose property is located West
of Farm Road 157 have been informed that the Dallas-Fort Worth
Regional Airport Board intends to acquire fee title to their
- property, and
WHEREAS, said property owners have presented the City
Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas with a request to intercede
in their behalf to ask the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Airport
Board to allow these property owners to retain fee title to their
land, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Grapevine, Texas has
' '� considered such request, and
', WHEREAS, �aid property is praposed to be used for an
industrial park and parking area and the northwestern most
extension of the proposed runway is approximately one mile east
of Farm Road 157, there appears to be no necessity nor justification
, for the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Airport Board to take fee title
to said land, and
WHEREAS, the construction of the Dallas-Fort Worth
Regional Airport has already acquired a large portion of the City
of Grapevine and that the taking of said land West of Farm Road
��.,
- 157 for future expansion will require the removal of substantial
acreage from the tax rolls of the City of Grapevine, Texas, and

� WHEREAS, the taking of fee title of land wes� of Farm
. Road 157 as proposed would virtually isolate a portion of the City
of Grapevine, Texas and cause great inconvenience and cost to the
City to provide utilities and to develop that property lyinq
immediately south of the property proposed to be condemned west
of Farm Road 157,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CTTY C�UNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, at a regular meeting, that

the City of Grapevine, Texas intercede on its own behalf to
ask the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Airport Board not to take
�:
fee title to any property within the City Limits of Grapevine,
Texas , as they are now defined, West of Farm Road 157 .

none being absent, on this 16th day of December, 1969 .
