BE IT ORDAZNEO BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF G�APEVINE, TEXAS : SECTION 1 . There is hereby adopted by the City o� Grapevine, Texas, for the purpose o� prescribing regulations, governing conditions hazardou� to health and to li�e, that certain 1970 edition o� the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the American Insurance Association; and it is hereby in- corporated herein as if f ully set out in length herein and from the date on which this ordinahce shall take e��ect, the provisions thereo� shall be controlling within the limits of the City of Grapevine, Texas. SECTION 2. The en�orcement o� this Code shall be by � the City Manager of the City o� Grapevine, or through any � person whom he may designate provided that such person is �, employed by the City o� Grapevine, Texas . � SECTION 3. This ordinance also repeals those provisions, and only those provisions, of all ordinances in con�lict with the provisions hereof. SECTION 4. Provisions oF this ordinance shell be, and they are hereby, declared to be severable; and should any portion of it be declared to be invalid for any reason by a coUrt of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not af�ect the remaining portions thereo�. SECTION 5. A person, firm or corporation violating the terms and provisions o� this ordinance shall be deemed guilty o� a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not less thet One Dollar [$1 . 00] nor more that Two Hundred Dollars [$200. 00] ; and each day each violation shall continue shall be a separate o�fense. SECTION 6. The fact that the enactment of this ordinance is necessary to preserve the public business, peace, I-iealtl-i, safety and general wel�are, creates an urgency and emergency in tl-ie immediate preservation of tl-ie same, and requires that this ordinance shall take eff ect immediately �rom and a�ter �' � its pass�ge; and it is accordingly so ordained.
