WHEREAS, the Texas State Historical Centennial is to be

held in Austin March 12-18, 1967 , and
WHEREAS, the Texas State Historical Society is interested
in expanding membership in local societies in
order to create interest in preservation of
historical buildings and sites, and
WHEREAS, the Mid-Cities Historical Society is to obtain a
Charter under the State Society:
NOW, THEREFORE, I , Ira E. Woods , Mayor of the City of
Grapevine, by the authority vested in me, do
hereby proclaim March 12-18, 1967 , as
MID-CITIES HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP WEEK
and call upon citizens interested in the heritage
of our area to join in the observance of this
week.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
caused to be affixed the seal of the City of
Grapevine , Texas
