A RESOLUTION MAKING OFFICIAL FINDING AND DETERMI-
NATION AS TO THE POPULATION AND NUMBER OF INHABITATNTS
OF AND WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS OF
JUNE 1, 1967.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, TExas, has
found and determined that it will be for the benefit of said city
owl to have a revised estimate of the population and number of in-
habitants, and that the city make an official finding thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed its City Manager, Mr. Floy
Ezell, to undertake an unofficial census of the population of the
City of Grapevine; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Ezell has conferred with the water works superintendent,
Post Office officials, the Texas Power and Light Company representa-
tives, and representatives of other utilities; and,
WHEREAS, other and additional evidence has been examined by Mr.
Ezell; and,
WHEREAS, based upon such census, and on such investigation by
Mr. Ezell, it has been found and determined that the City of
Grapevine, Texas, as of June 1, 1967, actually has within its
limits a population of 6,938; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :

That the City Council has officially found and determined, and does
now find and determine, that the population of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, as of the 1st of June 1967 was 6,938.

And further, the said City Council now orders and directs that
a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Texas Highway
Department so that they may change the population signs on the
roads and highways entering and leaving said City of Grapevine,
Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED, on this 1st day of August, 1967, at the
City Hall, in Grapevine, Texas, by unanimous vote of the City
Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas.
