BE IT ORDAiNEL? BY THE GITY CQUNCIL C)F THE CITY OF GRAPEVTNE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. DEFINITIQNS A. Bookmaking shall mean the taking, accepting or � placing for another a bez or wager of money or anything of value on a horse race, dog race, autamobile race, motoxcycle race ar any other race of any kind whatsoever, including but not limited to football games, baseball games, . athletic contests or sporting events of whatever kind or character. '�e term . shall further include the offering to take or accept or place for another any such bet or wager or any individual who as an agent, servant or employee or otherwise aids ar encourages another to take or accept or place any such bet or wager. Further the term shall likewise include the act or a��ing or encouraging the agent, servant or employee of another person to take or accept or place or transmit any such bet or wager. B. Bookmaking records shall mean any written, printe;, � , 1 1 Y., typed or otherwise produced or reproduced lists of persons names, telepi'�o..�: or communication media numbers, events upon which wagers may be placeci\ � times, plac�s or l�ations af such events, slips, oddsmakers` lists or inform�.tio7 letters, telegrams, or any other item, object or thing used for bookmakin;:, -uco�.: keeping, whether such records be in cade or uncoded, and in whatever lan;�;uage. C. Passession shall mean having any such recards o�i ��i� �.;._ �..it the y�er'son or in any vehicle or premises, hous� ar structure under the .=«i >; of or occupied by such person, whether such person is the owner thereof or i ; noe. i 4 i � SECTIt3N 2. SEVERABILITI'� It is hereby declared to be the intentian of the City Council �""" of the Gity of Grapevi,ne that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable and any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section hereof should he declared unconstitutional, such unconstitutionaiity or invalidity shal2 not affect any of the rernaining phrases, clauses, sentences, ,��..�.- grapi�s or sections of this ordinance, since the same wauld have been enacte, .>y i � ; , .� � ,�� . i �; the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such � unconstitutional or invalid phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. ;'; � SECTION 5.
