PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF�ORDINANCE NO. �8-7 OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF
GRAPEVIt�1E, TEXAS:
SECTION l. There is hereby adopted by tne City of Grapevine, Te�a_
for the purpose of prescribing regulations, governing conditions hazardous
� to life and property that certain 1972 edition of the suggested Plumbing Code
w�.� to b� known as "The Plumbing Code of The City of Grapevine, Te�:as",
recommendec� by the Texas Municipal Lca�ue; and it is herc;by incorpo►-a:,
1�c1-�in as i1 fully sct out in len�th lierein and from the date on which thiv
nailce shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controllir� within t:�.
i�mits oi the City of Grapevine with certain exceptions as noted �elow.
SECTION 2. All references to Bitumini�ed Sewer Pipe, Bituminous
��iber Pipe and Fittings for General Drain�ge, and Bituminous r iber Pi�� -
Testing, as listed in Chapter 12. 1 .4 and Chapter 12. 1.5 of said P1umb�_-�G
Coae are to be deleted and are not to be considered applicable to or part

"�" SECTION 3. The enforcement of this Code shall be by th� City

SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 68-7 of �he City of Grapevine, passed
and approved on February 2, 1968, is hereby repealed. This ordinance also
repeals those provisions, and only those provisions, of all ordinances in
conflict with the provisions hereof.
�� SECTION 5. A person, firm or corporation violating the terms and
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed. guil�y of a misdemeanor, and
. �
shall be fined not less than One Dollar ($1 . 00) nor more than Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00); and each day each violation shall continue shall be a
separate offense.
SECTION 6. Provisions of this ordinance shall be, and they are hereby,
declared to be severable; and should any portion of it be declared to be invalid
for any reason by a court of competent j urisdiction, such holding shall not
affect the remaining portions thereof.

S�CTION 7. The fact that the enactment of a Plumbing Code is neces-
sary to preserve the public business, peace, health, safety and general wel-
�"" fare, creates an urgency and emergency in the immediate preservation of
the same, and requires that this ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage; and it is accordingly so ordained.
