AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE VACATION OF THE
LAKEWOOD ACRES SUBDIVISION QF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; ABANDC7NING

ALL RIGHTS-OF-WAY AND/OR EASEMENTS SHOWN
THERE(JN; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CONDITIONAL

UPC1N THE APPROVAL AND FILING OF A REPLAT OF
ALL THE PROPERTY CURRENTLY WITHIN THE
LAKEWOOD ACRES SUBDIVISION; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the owners and proprietors of al.l of the property
within the Lakewoad Acres Subdivision of the City of Grapevine, Texas, have
requested a vacation of said plat and an abandoning of the rights-of-way and
� � easements shown thereon;
;,�,:� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas,
hereby approves the vacatian of the Lakewood Acres Subdivision of the City
of Grap�vine, Tarrant County, Tex�s, said subdivision having been filed for
record in the Map and Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, in Valume 388 2,
Page 10 of said records.
SECTION 2. That all rights-of-�way and/or all easement� dedicated to the
City of Grapevine, Texas, by and through the filing of said Lakewood Acres
Subdivision plat be, and the same are hereby clo�ed, abandoned and vacated for

public use, and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and vaca�ed insofar as all
`�' public raght, title and interest in and to said rights-of-�way and�or easements.
SECTIQN 3. The Mayor zs hereby autharized ta execute t�uit-claim
deeds to canvey said rights-of--��vvay and/or easements to the owners of the propexty
which abuts thereto.
SECTIUN 4. AIl of the preceding provisions of this ordinance are
conditioned upon and effective only after all of the praperty currently within said

Lakewood Acres Subdivision is replatted. Said replat of the Lakewood Acres
Subdivision must be appraved by the City Cou:ncil of the Ci�y of Grapevine, Texas,
and filed for reco�rd with the Tarrant Caunty Clerk prior to this ordinance having
any force and effect.
SECTION 5. If any section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or
provisions of this ordinance or the applicatian af that section, �entence, phrase,
word, paragraph or provision to any person, situation or circumstances i� for
any reason adjudged invalid, the adjudication shall not affect any other section,
senrence, phrase, word, paragraph or provision of this ordinance or the application
c�f any other sectzon, sentence, phrase, wQrd, paragraph or provision to any other

person, �ituation or circumstances, nor shall such adjudication affect any other
� " section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or provision of the Grapevine City
Code, The Gity Council declares that it would have adopted the valid portions and
applications of this ordinance withaut the invalid part, and to this end the
provisions of this ordinance are declared ta be severable.
SECTIQN b. The fact that the Lakewood Acres Subdivision of the City
c�f Grapevine, Texas, needs to be replatted and the rights-of-way and/or ea�ements
shawn thereon are no longer needed by the gublic for pubiic usage or travelling
and would create a hardship or burden upon the City of Grapevine to keep open and
maintain such, create� �n urgency and an emergency for the immediate preservation
�;�.:*
of the public health, safety and general welfare which requires that this ordinance
shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly so
ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, this the lst day of May A.D. 1973.
