A RESOLUTION FIXING THE WATER RATES, FOR RESIDENTIAL
USE ONLY, FOR THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, DURING THE
MONTHS OP JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST OP THE YEAR 1964.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. The water rates to be charged and collected by the City
of Grapevine, Texas, from all residential customers within the City
Limits of the City of Grapevine, Texas, during the summer months of
June , July, and August 1964 shall be and hereby fixed as set forth
below.
For the first 3,000 gallons of water furnished the premises of
the customer each month $4.50
For water furnished in excess of 3,000 gallons but not more
than 7,000 gallons each month, per 1,000 gallons $ .50
For all water furnished in excess of 7,000 gallons
per 1,000 gallons $ .30
Section 2. In any case, the following monthly minimum charges shall
be made upon customers of the water department:
Size of Meter Monthly Minimum Charge
3/4" or less $4.50
1" $7.50
14" $13.50
2" $19.50
4" $43.50
Larger than 4" To be agreed upon by contract
Section 3. Should any meter fail to register correctly the amount
of water used or furnished the customer since the previous reading,
the right shall exist on the part of the water department to charge
for water service on the basis of any three month's average.
Section 4. The rates charged by the City of Grapevine for water
services furnished for the use on premises outside the corporate limits
of the City of Grapevine, shall be not less than double the rates
charged to premises within the corporate limits of Grapevine.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor
and duly attested by the City Secretary.
