BASEBALL LEAGUE
WHEREAS, the Baseball League is founded on the principles
of instructing our youth in good sportsmanship and in the
great American pastime of baseball; and
WHEREAS, the Baseball League fosters the principles of
physical fitness and is a general force for good in the commun-
ity; and
WHEREAS, our Grapevine Baseball League organization is in
need of funds to continue and expand its excellent work among the
boys of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I , Ira E. Woods, Mayor of the City of
Grapevine , in recognition of the many contributions the Baseball
Leagues has made in the interest of the community and the nation,
do hereby proclaim the week of May 25 through June 1, 1964 as
BASEBALL LEAGUE FUND - RAISING WEEK IN GRAPEVINE
and do hereby extend my heartiest wishes for the success of the
candy sales in this fund-raising campaign.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have here-
unto set may hand and caused the
seal of City of Grapevine to be
affixed this 15th day of May, 1964.
