CLEAN UP WEEK IN GRAPEVINE
WHEREAS:
The spring of the year is traditionally a season of cleaning
1 up after the winter, and,
WHEREAS:
The Citizens of Grapevine have shown this year a special
interest in beautification by improving their lawns and yards, and,
WHEREAS:
The plentiful supply of city water, together with the paved streets
and curbs outlining residential property, contribute to more
effective city beautification, and,
WHEREAS:
A Small amount of extra effort on the part of each resident can
make Grapevine an outstandingly beautiful city,
NOW THEREFORE the period from May 13 to 25 is hereby proclaimed
as clean-up, paint-up, fix-up weeks in the City of Grapevine ,
and all citizens are called on to put forth a special effort
to improve the appearance of their premises. Each citizen is
urged to stand away from his own property (buisness or residential)
and look at it "with the eyes of a stranger" and see if he is
adding to the greatly improved appearance of the City.
IN WITNESS THEREOF , I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal
of the City of Grapevine to be affixed this 15th day of April , 1963.
