R63-12 Whereas, the City Council is desireous of making the City of Grapevine a safer place in which to live and travel and , Whereas, there is an ever increasing need for certain traffic control devices at certain intersectbns within the corporate limits, and , -- Whereas, much study and thought has been given to these problems by the City Council , THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS THAT: Section 1 . The traffic on the following streets which shall be classified as school zone and traffic in said school zone shall be restricted to a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour on the following streets : A. East Worth from the intersection of Austin street to the intersection of Ruth street. B. Ruth Street from the intersection of East Worth street to the intersection of Cannon stmt. C. Cannon street from the intersection of Ruth street to the intersection of Austin street. D. Austin street from the intersection of Cannon street to to the intersection of East Worth street. E. West College street from the intersection of Drexel Drive to the intersection of Ridge Road. Section 2. The traffic be restricted to one way flow between the hours of 7 :30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on Monday thru Friday on the following streets: A. East Worth street between Austin street and Ruth street, one-way going East. B. Ruth street between East Worth street and East Cannon, one-way going South. C. East Cannon street between Ruth street and Austin street, one-way going West. D. West College street between Drexel Drive and Ridge Road, one-way going West. E. Ridge Road between West College street and West Wall street, one-way going North. Section 3. The authority for the errection of the forgoing signs and the enforcement of the regulations therein represented has been vested in the City. Council by the City of Grapevine Ordinance No. 54-8 passed and approved the 2nd day of March, 1954. Section 4. This resolution, not being a penal ordinance in itself need not be published to be effective and is effective upon the passage by the City Council and the errectinn of the aforementioned signs.
