� WHEREAS, the Ci�y has duly advertised ror constructi.on
bids; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby afficially found and determinea
that a case of emergency or urgent public necessi�y exists which
requires �he holding of the meeting at which �ha.s Orda.nance is
passed, such emergency or urgent public necessi�y being that the
execu�Gion o£ contracts and authorization of bids hereinafter
authorized are required as soon as possible and w3.thout delay
for necessary and urgently needed public impravemen�s; and that

required by Vernon' s Annti Civo St. Article 6252-17.
THEREFORE, BE IT pRDAINED FY THE CI'I'� COUNCIL OF THE
CITY t�F GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
1Q Tha� �he bid of SIKES CONSTRUCTION, INC. , is
hereby accepted as the lowest responsible bid, and tha� Che
Mayor and City Secretary are duly authori�ed to award a con-
s�ruction contract in accordance with the plans and specifica-
tions ,
2. Tha� �he City is �uly au�.hc�rized to ettter into

any other contracts necessary in re�erence to the services of
the Gity' s Archi�ects and Financial Advisors for this project,

3. That this Ordinance is hereby finally passed on
one reading as an emergency measure, to be effective immediately,
� such emergency being that the authorization of the Contracts

� authorized by this Ordinance are required as soon as possible

for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or
public welfare.
