AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 1
OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS ADOPTING THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE�
1970 EDITION, AND EACH SUCCEEDING REVISION

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
� TEXAS;

That Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 1 is hereby amended by sub-
stituting in lieu thereof the followin g language:
ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE: There is hereby adopted for
the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for
the construction, alteration, removal, demolition,
equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance
of buildings and structures, that certain Building Code,
known as the Uniform Building Code, 1970 Edition, and
each succeeding revision thereof. Three (3) copies of
said Code have been andare now filed in the office of
the Clerk, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated
as fully as if set out at length herein and the provisions
thereof shall be controlling in the construction of all
� buildings and o�;her structures .

It being for the public welfare that this ordinance be passed
and each amendment be made, `�there exists an emergency and
public necessity that the rule requiring this Ordinance to
be read on two several occasions be and the same is hereby
waived and this Ordinance shall now be placed on its second
and final reading to its passage anc� shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
