AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9 , CHAPTER 1 OF THE
*�'""M CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TBXAS SO AS
� TO PROVIDE THAT VEHICLES LOADED WITH LOOSE MATERIAL -
SHALL HAVE A TARPAULIN OVER SUCH LOOSE MATERIAL, �
�_� AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: , .-
Title 9, Chapter 1 is hereby amended so that there shall be a
Section 50, to be known as 9-1-SO and which amendment shalL�:read as
follows : Y
9-1-50 TARPAULINS ON TRUCKS: � _

"No vehicle loaded with stone , gravel , dirt , brick, or other
loose material shall be driven on any paved street unless such vehicle
- has a tarpaulin over such loose materials in order to preven�t any such �``'
�erial from being scattered` on or along the street . "
�' The fact that trucks and vehicles are traveling the paved streets of � -

the City of Grapevine , Texas, at the present time without any covering
over loose material and such loose material is falling out and endangering
property and physical well being of the citizens of Grapevine , all of which
creates a;�,urgent public emergency in the preservation of public safety and
the general welfare reQuiring that this ordinance be now passed, creates
an emergency and public necessity that the rule requiring this ordinance to
be read on two several occasions be waived, and this ordinance shall ,
accordingly, be riaw placed on its second ar.,: final reading ta its passage
and shall ce in �u1.1 force and effect from and after its passu�e and approval .
