ADOPTING THE 1964 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE; AND

�`"� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GR[1PEVINE� TEXAS;
I.
That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 1 is hereby amended by substituting
in lieu thereof the following language :
ADOPTION OF NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE: All electric wiring, in»
, stallation of elec�txica2 fixtures� apparatus! or electrical
appliances for furnishing light, heat� or power� or other
electrical work introduced into or placed in or upon� or in any
way connected to� any building or structure within the limits of
this Municipality shall be in conformity with the provisions set
forth in the 1965 National Electric Code and each succeeding
revision thereof recommended by the American Insurance Association
for electrical wiring and apparatus, which is hereby adopted and
incorporated as a part of this Code as fully as if set out at
length herein, three (3) copies of said Electrical Code shall at
all times be on file in the office of the Clezk.

' �� It being for the public welfare that this Ordinance be passed and
each Amendment be made, there exists an emergency and public
necessity that the rule requiring this Ordinance to be read on two
several occasions be and the same is hereby waived and this
Ordinance shall now be placed on its second and final reading to
its passage and shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval,
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 21th day of March� A.D.� 1967.
