AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 64-11 SO AS TO
CHANGE THE RATE FOR EXTENSIONS PROVIDED IN SECTION
TWO OF SAID ORDINANCE, PROVIDING THE EFFECT�VE DATE
'��� OF THE AMENDMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :

Whereas Ordinance No.. 64-11 was passed and approved by the
City Council of the City of Grapevine , Texas , on June 2 , 1964 , and
Whereas said City Council desires to amend said ordinance. so
that the rates for extensions set out in Section 2 shall hereafter
read as follows :
"$1 . 80 per front foot of the lot or tract of land to
which water connections may be made .
$1 . 50 per front foot of the lot or tract of land to
which sanitary sewer connections may be made . "
The fact that landowners and subdividers are anxious to �
participate with the City of Grapevine , Texas in the immediate
future in accordance with Ordinance No . 64-11 commonly called the
Pro rata ordinance , and the rate change set out in this amendment
is necessary and proper before engaging in any more contracts under said
pro rata ordinance , all of which creates an urgent public emergency
in the preservation of public health and general welfare , requiring
"`��" that this ordinance be now passed, creates and emergency and public
neccessity that the rule reauiring this ordinance to be read on two
several occasions be waived, and this amended ordinance shall , accord-
'�r ingly, be now placed on its second and final reading to its passage
and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 17th day of May, 1966 .
