AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
�� y GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96-70,
AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 96-99, RELATIVE TO
THE FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 BUDGET BY AMENDING
SECTION 1 ; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the construction of the H/A Grapevine Master Utilities Project
included constructing a waterline across U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
property; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the line necessitates removal of some trees on
an easement dedicated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and
WHEREAS, the USACE required that the City mitigate this tree loss by planting
1 18 new trees; and
WHEREAS, final billing for the contractors work in an amount of 532,050.00

� WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the H/A Grapevine Master Utilities
Project Account (200-16943-000-0) to pay for said required landscaping and final
payment to the contractor in the total amount of 567,922.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are true and correct and are hereby
incorporated into this Ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That additional funds in the amount of 567,922.00 are appropriated
for expenditure for the H/A Grapevine Master Utilities Project in the Utility and Lake
Enterprise Capital Project Fund.
Section 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 96-70, as amended by Ordinance
No. 96-99, is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 4. That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make the
appropriate change to the budget to reflect the change noted above.
Section 5. That a true copy of this ordinance amending the Fiscal Year
1996-97 budget shall be filed with the City Secretary and attached to the budget
originally adopted.

Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals,
'� peace and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this
ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is
accordingly so ordained.
