On December 12, 2011, the Building Board of Appeals denied Building Board of Appeals
Case BBA11 -02 for 2078 West State Highway 114, legally described as Lot 1A, Block 1,
Van Cleve Addition. The following request was to Grapevine Code of Ordinances, Chapter
7, Article IV:
Section 7 -125, Fences, Rear Yard Requirements, prohibits a fence from exceeding eight -
feet (8') in height in any rear yard.

Section 7 -129, Fences, Type of Construction prohibits fences in any platted subdivision
from being electrically charged in any manner or form, including but not limited to those
electrically charged by battery.
The Board denied the request to allow a ten -foot (10') electrically charged fence along the
rear and side property lines.
