Pursuant to your request, and in light of substantial fire damage, I am hereby
authorizing you to obtain a permit to clear all construction material and debris
from the above referenced site. This authorization comes after careful
consideration by myself, the City Manager, and the City Attorney, regarding the
potential safety hazards presented by this structure and site.
Please understand that per Section 7-9 of the City of Grapevine Code of
Ordinances, you will still be required to submit an application for a Certificate of
Appropriateness to the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC). You will be
subject to any determination rendered by the HPC, regardless of the extent of
debris removal that has been performed at the time of their consideration.
Furthermore, as discussed in the meeting this morning, you will be required to
submit an application for Conditional Use to the City of Grapevine Planning and
Zoning Commission and City Council, and such application shall be approved
(with any corresponding conditions) prior to any rebuilding of the structure .
Per the request of David Klempin in this morning's meeting, please remove all of
west wall of the structure.
