AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
�, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 89-61 , RELATING TO THE
FISCAL YEAR 1989-90 BUDGET BY AMENDING
SECTION 1; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the financial statements for the City of
Grapevine as of September 30 , 1990 indicate that the
expenditures of the Convention & Visitors Bureau Fund exceed
the appropriations of the Fund for Fiscal Year 1989-1990; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to provide
additional funding to the Convention & Visitors Bureau for the
purpose of the Economic Development and Business Retention
service; and promotion of tourism within the City of Grapevine;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to reappropriate
available Convention & Visitors Bureau fund balance to provide
funding for the payment of said additional funding; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $16,795 in
additional funds to provide for the additional funding of said
'"�� Convention & Visitors Bureau Fund.
,�,,, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body
of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety herein.
Section 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 89-61 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. That the appropriation amounts
for the FY90 budget for different funds of
the City of Grapevine are hereby fixed as
follows:
General Fund $13 , 486 , 459
Utility (Water &
Wastewater Fund $ 6 ,593 , 898
Debt Service Fund $ 3 ,864 ,432
Golf Course Fund $ 1 , 065 , 586
CVB Fund $ 1 ,879 ,133
Insurance Fund $ 718 , 952

Retirement Fund $ 4 ,000
Capital Projects
�► Construction Fund $13, 866 , 806 "
,��, Section 3. That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make the appropriate change to the budget to
reflect the change noted above.

Section 4 . A true copy of this ordinance amending t�e
Fiscal Year 1989-90 budget shall be filed with the City
Secretary and attached to the budget originally adopted and the
City Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be filed a
true copy of the amendment in the office of the County Clerks
of Tarrant, Dallas and Denton counties.
Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and
general welfare of the public creates an emergency which
requires that this ordinance become effective from and after
the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
