AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
� AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 90-57 , RELATING TO THE
FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 BUDGET BY AMENDING
SECTION 1; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on July 3, 1990 the City Council approved the
allocation of $248 , 000 from the General Fund fund balance for
the purpose of a Street Overlay Program; and
WHEREAS, $78 , 165 was actually expended as of
September 30 , 1990 leaving a balance of $169 ,835 in the General
Fund fund balance for the Fiscal Year 1989-90 Budget; and
WHEREAS , $148 ,000 of the $169 ,835 was appropriated in the
Capital Projects Construction Fund for the Street Overlay
Program in the Fiscal Year 1990-91 Budget "FY91 Budget" ; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate the entire
$169 ,835 to the General Fund in the FY91 Budget by reducing the
Capital Projects Construction Fund appropriations by
$148 ,000 for the FY91 Budget and reclassifying the
� � appropriation as a General Fund appropriation for the FY91
Budget and appropriating the remaining $21 ,835 to the General
,,� Fund for the FY91 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body
of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety herein.
Section 2 . That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 90-57 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section l. That the appropriation amounts
for the FY91 budget for different funds of
the City of Grapevine are hereby fixed as
follows:
General Fund $14 , 751 , 079
Utility (Water &
Wastewater Fund $ 8 , 798, 078
Debt Service Fund $ 3 ,422 ,830
Golf Course Fund $ 1 , 026 , 009

Section 3. That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make the appropriate change to the budget to
reflect the change noted above.
Section 4 . A true copy of this ordinance amending the
Fiscal Year 1990-91 budget shall be filed with the City
Secretary and attached to the budget originally adopted and the
City Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be filed a
true copy of the amendment in the office of the County Clerks
of Tarrant, Dallas and Denton counties.
Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and
general welfare of the public creates an emergency which
requires that this ordinance become effective from and after
the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
