�"'� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF A SELF
CHECK SOFTWARE SYSTEM; DETERMINING THAT THE
SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE;
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE FROM CHECK POINT
SYSTEMS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,515.00; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Staff has determined the need to purchase a self check
software system for the Library Automation Project; and
WHEREAS, Check Point Systems, Inc. is the sole provider of the self check
software system under the patents and copyrights held by Check Point Systems, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
�d� � Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.

Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the purchase of the self check
software system from Check Point Systems, Inc. in the amount of$27,515.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all
steps necessary to consummate the purchase of the authorized system provided in
Section 2.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of December, 1998.
