A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER
SERVER HARDWARE; DETERMINING THAT THE
HARDWARE IS AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE;
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE FROM COMPAQ COMPUTER
CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,886.00; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine staff has determined the need to purchase
computer server hardware for the Citywide Internet Project; and
WHEREAS, Compaq Computer Corporation is the sole provider of the computer
server hardware under the patents and copyrights held by Compaq Computer
Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
- Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the
purchase of the computer server hardware from Compaq Computer Corporation in the
amount of$19,886.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized and directed
to take all steps necessary to consummate the purchase of the authorized hardware
provided in Section 2.
Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 5th day of January, 1999.
