A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL QF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF
MC}TURCYC�E RADIOS, P4RTABLE RAD10S, AND
MOBILE RADIOS; DETERMINING THAT THE EQUIPMENT
IS AVAILABLE FROM 4NLY 4NE S4URCE;
DETERMINING THAT THE PURCHASE OF THIS
EGtUIPMENT IS NECESSARY T{� PRESERVE RND
PROTECT THE PUBLIG SAFETY OF THE CITY'S
RESIDENTS; AUTH4RIZING THE PURGHASE FROM
MOTOROLA CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$29,109.40; AND PRUVIDING AN EFFEGTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine staff has determined the need to purchase
motorcycle radios; portable radias; and mobile radias; and
WHEREAS, Motorola Corporation is the sale provider af the radios that will
operate with other Motorola equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City Staff has determined the need to purchase the list of radio
equipment listed in Exhibit "A" ta preserve and protect the public safety of the City's
residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
C3F GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That a41 of the above premises are faund to be true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if capied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine autharizes the
purchase of the motarcycle radios; portable radias; and mabile radios listed in Exhibit
"A" from Motorala Carporation far a tatal amount of$29,109.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized and directed
to take all steps necessary to consummate the purchase of the atathorized equipment
provided in Section 2.
Section 4. That if any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or
word in this resolutian, or application thereof ta any p�rsans or circumstances is held
invalid or unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such halding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining partions of this resalutian; and the City Council
� hereby declares it would have passed such remaining portions of the resolution despite
' such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
�" N Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 16th day of February, 1999.
