A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS MAKING FINDINGS OF
CERTAIN FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF
ETHERNET HUBS AND SWITCHES; DETERMINING
THAT THIS EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE FROM ONLY
ONE SOURCE; AUTHORIZING PURCHASE FROM CISCO
SYSTEMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,108.00; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine staff has determined the need to purchase
Ethernet hubs and switches for the Citywide Internet Project; and
WHEREAS, Cisco Systems is the sole provider of the Ethernet hubs and
switches under the patents and copyrights held by Cisco Systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
� - are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the
purchase of the Ethernet hubs and switches from Cisco Systems in the amount of
$52,108.00
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized and directed
to take all steps necessary to consummate the purchase of the authorized equipment
provided in Section 2.
Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 20th day of April, 1999.
