A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE AND
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR
THE PROCUREMENT OF CERTAIN ITEMS;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANGER TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Public Safety has established certain
contracts for breath testing supplies, printed material and other supplies; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, is a local government defined as an
entity qualified to participate in the cooperative purchasing program pursuant to section
271.101 — 271.102 of the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent, or his designee, is authorized to execute any
and all documentation for the City of Grapevine, Texas pertaining to its participation in
the cooperative purchasing program.

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, is of the opinion that participation in
this program will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City through the anticipated
savings to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That request be made to the Texas Department of Public Safety for
the City of Grapevine to participate in contracts established by the Texas Department of
Public Safety through a cooperative purchasing program.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
