A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
A COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is a loca! government in the State of Texas
and as such is empowered by the Texas Local Gavernment Code, Section 271.102 to
enter into a cooperative purchasing program agreement with other qualified entities in
the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Colleyville, Texas is a qualified entity as authorized by
Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Colleyville, Texas wishes to utilize the City of Grapevine
vendor or vendors for the purchase of:
one police package police vehicle
one police package utility vehicle
one standard model four door vehicle
pursuant to any bids tor vehicles solicited by th� City of Grapevine and approved by the
Grapevine City Council, such bids having been processed in accordance with the Texas
Local Government Code, Chapter 252.021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble are true and correct as if
copied herein in their entirety.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Grapevine, Texas is authorized to
enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Colleyville, a copy is attached hereto
as Exhibit "A".
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of September, 1999.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF COLLEYVILLE AND THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE
WHEREAS, the City of Colleyville and the City of Grapevine desire to enter into an
agreement to permit the City of Colleyville to utilize the City of Grapevine vendor, for the
purchase of:
One Police Package police vehicle
One Police package utility vehicle
One standard model four door vehicle
WHEREAS, the Texas Interlocal Cooperation Act (Article 4413 (32C) Vernon's
Annotated Texas Statutes) provides for the cooperation between local governmental
bodies, the parties hereto in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein;
Now, THEREFORE, THIS MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT is hereby made and
entered into by the City of Colleyville and the City of Grapevine upon and for the mutual
consideration stated herein:
I.
The City of Colleyville to purchase three vehicles from the City of Grapevine FY2000
Vehicle Bid.
II.
The City of Colleyville will process all orders and payments direct with the bidding
company.
III.
The City of Colleyville agrees to indemnify and save harmless the City of Grapevine
from any liability of damages the City of Colleyville may suffer as a result of claims,
demands, costs, or judgements against the work or services under this Agreement, or
arising from accident, injury, or damage, whatsoever, to any person, or persons, or to
the property or any person(s) occurring during the performance of this Agreement
except for any liability or damages caused by the negligence of the City of Grapevine,
it's agents, officer , and/or employees.

This interlocal Agreement may not be assigned and embaties the entire agreernent
