A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, MAKING FINDINGS OF CERTAIN
FACTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF A
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT; DETERMINING THAT THE
MAINTENANCE IS AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE
SOURCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to cover the following software under a
maintenance agreement:
350 Each Novell Netware Node Software
350 Each Groupwise Mailbox Software
350 Each ZENWorks Software
350 Each Border Manager EE Software
19 Each NDS for NT software
and;
WHEREAS, the State of Texas Department of Information Resources is the sole
provider of maintenance for the software listed above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble are true and correct as if
copied herein in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the
purchase of a maintenance agreement to cover the listed software for a total not to
exceed $18,281.83.
Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all
steps necessary to consummate the purchase of said maintenance agreement.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 7th day of September, 1999.
