A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN INTER-LOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN VECHICLES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine staff has reviewed and analyzed the City's
need for the purchase of the following equipment:
One each-Utility Vehicle, Suburban
Two each-Utility Tractors
One each-Small Backhoe
One each-Street Sweeper
One each-Large Backhoe
One each-Fire Pumper, and;
WHEREAS, the Houston-Galveston Area Council is a regional planning
commission created under Acts of the 59t" Legislature, Regular Session, 1965, rectified
as Chapter 391, Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is of the opinion that participation in the
inter-local agreement will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City through the
anticipated savings to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble are true and correct as if
copied herein in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine, Texas does request the Houston-
Galveston Area Council to include its stated need to purchase the above equipment
listed on the Houston-Galveston Area Council contract.
Section 3. That the City Manager of the City of Grapevine, Texas or his
designee, is hereby authorized to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other
documents in connection therewith for and on behalf of the City of Grapevine.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
. passage.
